The riverbank of the Bega River cleaned up by volunteers with support from Klarwin
On Saturday, March 30, the Center for Urban Innovation and Development (CIDU) led a comprehensive cleanup effort along the Bega River in the village of Balinț, Timiș. The initiative was supported by Klarwin, the European leader in industrial equipment for fluid filtration, purification, and water treatment. Over 30 volunteers from Timișoara and Balinț joined the community effort to preserve the environment.
Volunteers collected over 20 cubic meters of waste, filling 80 bags, in a drive to restore the area’s natural beauty. The event lasted all day and spanned 8 kilometers, setting a standard for best practices in community engagement in environmental protection.
“Today’s action represents more than a simple cleanup. It symbolizes our communities’ commitment to the environment we live in and the need to work together for the common good. We are happy to support this effort and are inspired by the energy and dedication of each volunteer involved,” said a representative from Klarwin.
This initiative is part of Klarwin’s ongoing efforts to engage the community through direct participation in cleanup days, tree planting, and awareness campaigns about the importance of protecting the environment, as well as supporting similar initiatives by community groups and NGOs.
