Klarwin joins a large-scale cleanup campaign in Timiș, alongside Balinț City Hall

Klarwin joins a large-scale cleanup campaign aimed at waste collection and the cleaning of Balinț commune, in Timiș county. The actions are carried out in partnership with the Timiș Intercommunity Waste Development Association (ADID), the Romanian Institute for Youth Development and with the support of SC RETIM Ecologic Service SA.

„We are involved, as always, in raising the standard of living for the residents of the areas where we operate. We do this because we understand that it is our responsibility to drive a paradigm shift, to educate and set the tone for positive behaviour in relation to the environment. We are convinced that such actions lead to greater citizen awareness regarding waste collection and recycling”, said Lucian Pavel, Manager of the Environmental Protection Department at Klarwin.

The campaign began on Saturday, August 21st, with a cleanup action carried out in Bodo village. The event was attended by 35 volunteers and the mayor of Balinț commune, Crașovan Dănuț.

„We collected over 3 cubic metres of waste, approximately 1,200 kg, from an area of nearly 80,000 sqm. The regional sanitation operator, SC RETIM Ecologic Service SA, ensured transport to the Ghizela non-hazardous waste deposit. Three more similar actions in Balinț commune will follow over the next three weeks. We are pleased to be part of the renewal of this locality and we encourage companies and locals to get directly involved in such actions”, concluded Andrei Popa.

Throughout this campaign, Klarwin provides drinking water resources and protective equipment for all participants in the cleanup actions.
