Klarwin, a technology leader in wastewater treatment and water source treatment, announces the completion of works to make drinking water accessible to the four communities at Pata Rât. On Thursday, April 21st, the company installed and connected two distribution kits to the water source, manufactured in food-grade stainless steel, each with six taps.
„We are pleased to be able to fulfil this promise we made to the communities at Pata Rât. These systems are fundamental for water distribution, both in a semi-permanent and temporary setting. The installation will increase access to water for the residents of Pata Rât, and the taps will prevent both waste and the overflow of surplus water into the collection area”, said Lucian Pavel, Manager of the Environmental Protection Department at Klarwin.
The technical solution chosen by Klarwin has been evaluated and tested in several humanitarian projects around the world, thereby guaranteeing that it meets real on-the-ground needs. The optimization of the equipment was carried out at the company’s own factory in Iernut.
„The lack of water transport infrastructure leads to difficulties in providing adequate conditions for the residents of Pata Rât. In fact, some of the four local communities are completely without water. The communities at Pata Rât will benefit from 12 water distribution points, in two areas previously without this facility. With this action, we conclude our company’s activity at Pata Rât, after four years in which we worked locally for environmental protection, exceeding our legal obligations. Without a doubt, we remain close to these vulnerable communities for the long term, and we plan to increase the number of distribution kits in the period ahead”, concluded Lucian Pavel.
The drinking water accessibility project was carried out in collaboration with the Cluj Metropolitan Area Intercommunity Development Association.
